Don’t get me wrong, I take my sleep very seriously and I treat it as an important component of my well-being just like nutrition or workouts. Yet. I find that new beginnings often create the impression that we should start doing it all right, and right now. This is a wrong recipe, for sure, and I’m no chef. The main thing about your journey towards better sleep and better healthy well-being is to choose one pro-sleep choice at a time, to take a breath between new habits you wish to establish and to do it gradually.
The idea of enhancing your habits in the timing of the new year is amazing, it shows how present you are and your willingness to improve, yet we all want to create a change that lasts, and I wouldn’t wish you to improve all parameters of sleep for only the first two weeks of January 2024. If you feel like you have too many things you wish to change, try to schedule them correctly, over the next few weeks or months, so that you’ll create a timeline of consistent work and improvement instead of creating an on & off pattern. I’m sure that if you’ll succeed in establishing this state of mind, you’ll be giving yourself much more than the gift of better sleep but also the capability of improving components in your well-being and enhancing your habits whenever you choose to.
