Well, it’s probably not the first time you hear about the connection between drinking water and overall health. But what is it all about?
How can sleep improve our health?
During sleep, countless renewal and regeneration processes take place all over the body. This means wound healing, damage repairing and refreshing in all levels, from cells to organs and systems.
What does water have to do with it?
The likelihood of cells to fix damages, regenerate and repair is significantly increased while having enough nutrients to enable these processes. In order to create the optimal environment, our body needs water to create enough blood circulation that will supply the nutrients to all systems. Furthermore, the cells will use water molecules as part of their repairment process.
Should I drink as much as I possibly can?
Of course not. We always inspire toward balanced solutions! The optimal daily intake of water for adults is between 2.5 and 4 liters per day, about 10-15 glasses of water. The exact amount should be personally adapted, taking into account height, weight and medical conditions.
Can proper amounts of water improve my sleep?
Not only that it can improve, lack of water actually damages the quality of our sleep.
So… Cheers!
Wishing you a good night’s sleep
