As children, we are often asked “What is your dream?”. Some of us simply answered about the last dream we had at night, some named the profession of one of their parents, and some had answers that included words like NASA, firefighter or Nobel prize. I remember myself thinking “Wait, how will I know my dream has come true?”
Last week at the HOS I finally got to feel it. Not just understand or think about it, but really experience this moment of watching an idea becoming reality, simply and completely.
While creating the Elvy Charger we always had the biohackers community on our minds. Our product was designed to provide curious, intelligent people and empower them towards a better, healthy well-being.
There were 3 main things that got my attention:
First, people get the problem. It’s a real, discussed, interrupting issue in people’s lives, which makes the product relevant and needed.
Next, is the tight connection between consumers’ consumption habits and scientific evidence. I admit mentioning it almost makes it sound like it goes without saying, but it’s far from being obvious. I feel grateful for having thinking minds as our customers, this is definitely the thing that keeps us going, improving ourselves and our product more and more, wishing to get better and find more relevant, meaningful solutions.
It was amazing to see people taking a deep dive into the scientific details, understanding the effect EMF has on our sleep, and moreover, to see people that are willing to make a proactive change.
It feels as if our clients are seeking this balanced option that won’t keep their phone away from them or shut down, but something that will provide them with the benefit, without making major compromises. I was proud to see our community is awake, aware, and thriving to maintain a healthier well-being.
Last but most certainly not least, when we started, we thought explaining the relationship between sleep quality and overall health and wellness would be a tough mission. The separation between these two components is very common and we were concerned about people not understanding how we inspire to improve health by improving sleep. Gladly, I was surprised to discover that was a non-issue for most of the summit community, biohackers from all around the world have such passion for understanding and optimizing their sleep, it left me speechless and very awake :)
