After participating in the HOS2023, I experienced a flood of thoughts about the way we experience life and our individual perception of our well-being. One point of view that really caught my attention is Vishen’s Mindvalley theory and the way I’m experiencing it as a startupist.
The mindvalley theory examines 4 different levels of consciousness evolution. Starting with the basic understanding of your life based on your environment (level 1), through the exploration of your own experience regarding the world outside and your inner world (levels 2&3) and all the way to the exciting possibility of using all these levels to create something of your own to influence the outer environment.
While I know this idea is practically related to biohacking, I felt like it describes exactly my feelings from the moment we started @elvy.ai
From the very beginning we explored biohacking as a field of interest, then realized the meaning of sleep and its effect over healthy well-being, we learned the outside and kept on discovering new mines to dig into. At that point, when we had so much information, naturally (I think) we got confused. So we took a step towards the next level and started the inner exploration. We dealt with complicated questions and thoughts, about our willings and inspirations regarding other people’s lives, wondering if we are the right people to create the solution and so many more. These questions made us feel uncomfortable at start but then we found out it feels so damn good to do something when you actually believe you’re the right team for, when your confidence is settled and your mind is in its right place.
This is not so usual, or common. During the process I noticed how many people act on behalf of the “culturespace”, rely on axioms and just go-on-the-go, and I’m glad I chose to keep pushing towards the next levels.
Finally I felt we got to the fourth level and started something new, creating a movement of change within the individual perception of others. We encourage our clients to take the best care of themselves, to find good and practical solutions to improve their health and to be smart consumers of tech devices and tech habits together.
And the most beautiful thing in this process is the understanding that each level has to contain the previous ones, the circles are inside each other, forming the base of our being and self perception, both literally and figuratively.
I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and reflect through the journey of smart and thinking people. Biohacking is more than a way of living, it’s one of the strongest communities I ever met and I’m proud to be a part of it!
