Breaking News! Mindfulness doesn’t have to equal boring!
Haven’t tried practicing it yet? Have you already tried different relaxation methods and found it frustrating? Do you consider yourself more of a “brain-type”, the thinking type?
Well, don’t give up just yet.
Mindfulness is the art of paying attention. Practicing it might just allow you to choose from a more varied set of tools, while dealing with… well… life.
Practicing mindfulness allows you the option of being more aware, for a few minutes a day to begin with. Later, as you get more experienced, those awareness techniques will soon be a part of your day to day life and enable you to make better decisions through better processes, according to your own wants and wishes.
It doesn’t include sweating, you don’t have to close your eyes or sit in the dark, there’s no specific music or clothes you’ll need to prepare. Just come, as you are.
Actually, mindfulness can be practiced in frontal meetings, or by websites and apps. It can be done as a part of a paid course or even for free. You can practice it while sitting, lying down, walking and running, whenever, wherever.
So what do you think? Will you give it a try?
