Tip #59: A weather sleep toolkit: Tailored to your own preferences

When dealing with sleep hygiene in light of weather changes there are a few things to keep in mind trying to reach satisfying outcomes. 

First, let’s talk about the “being” (and not the “doing”). Embracing a state of mind of balanced emotional awareness to acknowledge and identify your emotions when faced with different weather conditions. Recognizing how weather affects your mood can help you better understand its impact on your sleep. 

Second, the “doing” part mostly consists of keeping a routine, optimizing the sleep environment to be flexible and adaptable to these changes and practicing self care as frequently as possible. Those choices we can make in order to improve our sleep environment will also provide us with the opportunity to feel in charge and gain the confidence that sometimes changes with the direction of the wind… 

Combining those two and adopting a point of view of being in the right state of mind and doing the things that make you feel better, along with an adaptable and flexible approach - this is definitely the recipe.
