We all know the feeling of the night before a test, alternatively an important presentation or a complicated conversation, and I believe we all find ourselves wondering which approach would be best. Recent studies have shown that although it might seem tempting to keep up all night studying and preparing, having a good night’s sleep is more likely to improve one’s performance. The trial’s participants have shown better results in various cognitive tasks and tests after a night with high quality sleep, regardless of the level of knowledge and preparation.
So… in addition to managing our schedules better and preparing from ahead, next time we find ourselves in a similar situation, let’s try to apply our sleep hygiene routine and put our efforts into achieving quality sleep.
Wishing you a good night’s sleep (and good luck on your test!)
